Privacy Notice

Version 1.0 (webinar registration) · Edtrainit Ltd · This notice covers our free webinar registration. A fuller notice will apply when the paid learning platform launches.

The short version: When you register for a medtrainit webinar, we collect only the details needed to manage your registration. We use them to run the webinar and tell you about medtrainit where you've agreed. We never sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it any time by emailing connect@medtrainit.com.

Who we are

medtrainit is a product of Edtrainit Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (Company No. SC887286). We are the "data controller" — responsible for your data. Contact us any time at connect@medtrainit.com.

We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration reference ZC152332.

Who the webinar form is for

medtrainit is designed for students preparing for the IMAT, many of whom are under 18. The webinar registration form should be completed by a parent or legal guardian — or by the student themselves if they are 18 or over.

What we collect

Parent / guardian: Name, email, and phone number
Student: First name only
Context: Country of residence and intended IMAT year

We keep the webinar form deliberately minimal. At this stage we do not ask for date of birth, national ID, school records, payment details, or any student learning data.

To confirm your webinar registration and send joining details
To answer questions related to your registration
To contact you about medtrainit, where you have consented

Legal basis

We process your webinar registration data on the basis of consent, given through the tick boxes on the form. For residents of India, we process personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 where applicable. As a UK-established company, we also comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Service providers

We use a small number of trusted providers to operate our website, forms, email, and webinar delivery. They process data only for our purposes, under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

How long we keep it

We normally keep webinar registration data for up to 24 months after your last interaction with us, unless we need to keep it longer for legal, accounting, or legitimate business reasons. We don't keep data longer than we need to.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

See the data we hold about you or your child
Correct anything that's wrong
Delete the data
Restrict or object to certain uses
Receive a copy to take elsewhere
Withdraw consent at any time

Just email connect@medtrainit.com and we'll respond within the timeframes the law requires (normally within 30 days).

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. Residents of India may raise a grievance with us directly and, where applicable, escalate under India's data-protection framework. Residents of the UAE may raise concerns under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this notice and its version number. The version and date at the top tell you which version is current. When you register, we record which version you agreed to.
